听力手艺被普遍以为是四个语言手艺中最难习得的，，，，语流中的弱读则被以为是听力之以是难的“罪魁罪魁”之一。。弱读并非只泛起在一些功效词中，，，，弱读无所不在；
；；；；某个单词的弱读并不但有一个形式，，，，弱读形式多样；
；；；；弱读形式虽然易变，，，，但转变具有偏向性。；
；；；；谝粝笛Ы舛，，，，语流中的弱读可概括为“普遍性”、“动态性”和“连续统性”，，，，而这“三性”并非英语弱读中独吞，，，，它切合语音弱化的普遍纪律，，，，英语辅音的弱读与意大利语的佛罗伦萨方言中的辅音弱化、闽语福安话中的连读变声险些“不谋而合”。。

This talk aims to approach weak forms in connected speeches from the phonological perspective to provide listening instructors and learners with a better and systematic understanding of vowel reductions and consonant lenitions in listening practices. It is held that weak forms are almost everywhere in connected speeches, rather than only occurring to function words as generally presumed. Besides, any word, either function or content word, might be weakened in more than one forms. And the list of variants appear in somewhat a continual order. Furthermore, the three features of weak forms in English, namely being ubiquitous, dynamic and continual, are assumed to be shared by other human languages. It is not surprising that English consonants are lenited in the same way as those lenited in Florentine Italian and in the Fu’an dialect of Min Chinese.
